My name is Kisha, &I am the girl behind this blog. I'm 20 years old, and I live in Georgia. I made this blog to document my weight loss journey, &hopefully I will be able to "find" myself, and really be happy again.
Personal Life: I'm a 2010 high school graduate. I have a brother, a mom, & a dad. I currently live with my parents - which isn't the best situation - but it will work for now. I also have a cat, &I'm hoping to get a puppy soon.
Love Life: I'm single. ♥
Weight Loss: I've been battling with my weight since I was younger. Throughout high school, I was between 140-145 pounds. Sad to say, but I thought I was FAT. Boy, do I regret that. I would LOVE to be that size right now. I'm 5'4" and 169 pounds.
- November 2010 - My former best friend & I decided to move into an apartment together. About a week later, we started having problems. I started emotionally eating, and ended up gaining 25+ pounds within 3 months.
- February of 2011 - I moved in with my brother - his girlfriend - &my nephew. That also wasn't the best situation to be in, but we made it work.
- April 2011 - I ended up losing my job, and I moved back in with my parents. At that point in my life, I was tired of crying every time I looked in the mirror. I had gained so much weight, that I was so unhappy with myself.
- May 2011 - I joined a gym, and started working out a lot. I didn't lose any weight, but I dropped a lot of inches, and began getting more toned. I started doing Zumba (which I love), and I started walking on the treadmill. I attempted to do the 30 Day Shred, but I never completed it.
- June 2011 through December 2011 - I continuted going to the gym & working out at home. I wasn't fully committed, but I never gave up.
- December 27, 2011 - I decided to make a change. I started the 30 Day Shred again, and wrote down three rewards that I would give myself after I completed each level. Setting these goals gave me the motivation I needed. I completed Level 1 on 01/06/12 (with only one break). I started counting every calorie I put in my mouth, and I started drinking more water. I decided to give myself one "cheat" day a week - which will be Saturdays - and I will allow myself to eat the food(s) I was craving throughout the week. By doing this, I won't be completely restricting myself from the things I love.
- That is my "weight loss" notebook. Inside of my notebook, I have a monthly calendar where I put an "X" on each day that I exercise. There is also a written food diary, as well as any notes I write to myself. I write down my weekly workout schedule, and my monthly goals. This helps to keep me motivated! :)
My Goals:
- Exercise: I want to become more fit, and exercise more. I want to complete C25K (Couch to 5K), and run a marathon.
- Eat Healthier.
- Understanding My Body: I want to eat until I'm full, not until I'm stuffed. I want to stop counting calories one day, and just know when enough is enough.
- QUIT EATING FAST FOOD.
- Complete the 30 Day Shred.
